Hello and welcome! I am a Registered Psychologist living in St. Albert, with several years experience working in mental health and addictions. I consider myself to be a social justice advocate, and strive to be an ally to women, LGBTQ2SI+ communities, Indigenous peoples, People of Colour, and newcomers to Canada. I work to decrease the stigma of mental illness and substance use.
I grew up in Winnipeg and have lived in Toronto, Vancouver, Kelowna, and now St. Albert/Edmonton. I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Manitoba.
My clinical work has been split between public health, where I have worked with people who struggle with mental illness and chronic substance use issues, and the private health sector – where I have specialized in multiple approaches, and worked with people from all walks of life with all kinds of concerns. My goal is to help people feel empowered in their life, and less bothered by their thoughts, sensations, and emotions.
I enjoy playing golf, baking while listening to podcasts, and watching sports on TV. I am a parent to two young children, and a partner. My life can feel busy and hectic at times, but also fun and rewarding. I love my career as a psychologist and feel honoured to be involved and trusted by my clients.
